Declutter and make a difference

Tuesday, March 02, 2010

I've finally done it!  Yes, it only took me a year, but I've finally done the wardrobe declutter!  (well, that's not entirely true - my personal stylist did it and she was brutal!) But it worked! I've reached my end goal: my clothes now fit in just one wardrobe and everything else is in the recycle pile. And it feels so good! Read More

MEM breast screening - new technology screening without radiation or xrays

Monday, January 25, 2010
I think we've probably all been touched by breast cancer in some way, through a friend, colleague or family member.  In my case my beautiful aunt, Jude, survived breast cancer - so it's often in the back of my mind.  But how many of us have actually had breast screening?  I know I haven't. Read More

... and the inevitable Christmas shopping is still not done?

Tuesday, December 15, 2009

Thanks to Jane at AMP, here’s a tip you’ll all be thankful for.  hardtofind.com.au is like a gorgeous shopping mall, where you can browse through a number of smaller boutiques selling unique, high-quality products. You can buy from as many boutiques as you like, simply adding each product to your shopping basket as you go and then proceeding to one easy checkout. Each boutique (or seller) will then dispatch the products directly to you, so you will receive several parcels if you have bought from several sellers. Sounds easy... and it is.  Enjoy! Read More

I Do’s and Don’ts : How Changes in Marriage, Divorce and Childbirth Are Redefining the Workplace

Tuesday, January 27, 2009

According to a new study by Wharton professors Betsey Stevenson and Justin Wolfers, marriage and divorce rates in the United States are both at historic lows. When Stevenson and Wolfers began to analyse the changing market forces behind these new statistics, one thing became clear: The same forces that play a role in marriage and divorce statistics -- namely birth control, partial closing of the gender wage gap, the rising age of first marriages and dramatic changes in home technologies -- have also had a significant impact on businesses and employees. Read More
