As someone who has run a successful niche domestic recruitment company for 23 years I certainly know that behind every successful woman with children in this country there are usually an army of unsung heroines ,cleaning up and caring .I know because we provide those people ,personally checked and legally employed . What I find interesting is that so many people and Agencies who pride themselves on sound business acumen and integrity ,do not question the training or the experience or the legalities of those doing the job .There is so often a mindset that is happy to pay Nannies ,Casual Carers and Cleaners off the books and so many non government approved Agencies that encourage that practise .This ensures that the Carers are not cared for themselves without work cover or superannuation to cover their retirement .This is a worldwide problem but exploitation amongst and by educated women, is just as rife right here in Australia as in the Us, Ireland and India. It is time that someone such as the ShEOBlog along with us took on the cause of ensuring that the Carers who care for children, and the service workers who care for you and your home, are cared for and covered the same as any other workers in the country and that cash in hand jobs offering no security are stamped out at least in the areas where we as female executives can have some say.
