Biggest challenge is to be treated seriously as a part time worker. Just because you work part time doesn't mean you don't have any ambition and this is often surprising to my ( male bosses).Perception is another challenge as it is assumed that unless you are in the office till late every night you are not really putting in the work even though we might be really efficient during the day. The other challenge is networking which is fine if you can go down the pub every Friday night but is challenging in finding other ways to raise your profile and get noticed from a professional point of view.

I think we are half -way there! A huge impediment for us is our selves. We must support other women - overtly and covertly!There are still many women who see others as threats or competition, someone to scrutinise. Giving other women a hand, recommending them and generally supporting the gender, sets everyone up well.You lift yourself up by lifting others.
